The printing industry is mature and very price competitive. With
more than half of a typical print job consisting of paper cost, getting the right grade of paper is key to controlling the final production cost. Richard Jacobs and Company will work with you to select the right paper stock. We have samples of the various stocks frequently used in catalog production, and are happy to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each grade.
The remaining cost is determined by the equipment used to produce your custom job. Matching your work to the right equipment can drastically reduce the amount of waste paper generated and the amount of machine time required to produce your job. Through our relationships with our network of high quality printing plants, we have access to more varied production equipment than could possibly exist within a single facility.
The final factor impacting your overall cost is postage. We will work with you to optimize not only your printing, but also calculate postage for various options. This will help you determine the proper mix of book weight, size and overall project cost.
